hi in this video we’re gonna take a look at how you can manage permissions on your iPhone and iPad running iOS 13 now when we are talking about permission is there a different way how we can manage permissions so you can manage permissions by an app or you can manage permissions by going into the different categories and then you can control the permissions from there so let’s say if we want to manage permissions by an app first go to your home screen and tap on the Settings icon in settings you want to go down and then go to an app but you want to look at the permissions do you see what kind of permission that apps has so let’s go there and have a look so let’s say we open up this premier rush and you can see here stop the permission or assets it has to is photos so if you turn on photos you can choose to do never so we don’t disable permission to photos which is never so you can see it would no longer have access to photos so that is one way how you can manage permissions directly from an app you can see is also have permission to Siri and search you can tap on that and turn it off it’s also have permission to notifications you can also turn it off from there and you also have permission to use background app refresh so that’s one way how you can control permissions by directly going to an app now you can also control permissions from the privacy settings so a lot of the permissions group and the privacy so if we go from the settings screen we go to privacy and in privacy we also have location services and here you can also see which app uses location services for example maps or app stores or any other apps as require the use of location services we can go on here and enable them or disable them to simply disable them just select never and that will disable for the app from using that particular services now if it’s happened back here and privacy you can also go down and look at the different services or app that’s how you want to control the permissions for example photos if you tap on photos here you can see four different type of apps actually we quite the assets of photos premiere rush investigator Snapseed filemaker pro so if you want to disable to me rush you couldn’t go in here and choose never well you can choose Snapseed and then select never or allowed waiting right for that particular app so that is a different way how you can go in and control permission as well and if you go down here you got permission to contacts calendars reminders photos bluetooth microphone if you worry about somebody else one of the app is listening in using your microphone you can go in microphone and check it out and see which app have permission to microphone you can see viber here is a messaging app that’s required use of her microphone so at the moment it has permission to microphone if you don’t want to give permission to viber you can switch it off or you can switch it on so this is another way how you can control permission by looking at the app and see which app have required permission to one of the activity services or the apps in here so you could help certain health you could health app in the clock app neat we call require access to health so you can go in here control it and lick of motion and fitness as well so that is another way how you can control permission so if we go back here unless another one is notifications so if you go into notifications you can go down the list and look at which app is require the use of notifications services if you want to control permission from here you can tap on for example youtubes and I can simply turn off allow notifications and that will disable a YouTube from using notifications so this is another way how you can control permissions and with notifications then another one is cellular data usage you can go into cellular and then go down the list here and if you want to disable certain apps from using cellular data you can turn it off for example down here you’ve got maps uses Szilard either so you can turn off and then when I whenever using maps you would not use silhouette data at all so there is another way how you can control permissions another things is the app refresh so you can go into general from the settings screen go into general then tap on background app refresh is in here you can also control which apps you can use the background app refresh so typically these features allow an app to fetch the data on the background and so that when you open up an app that the app will christen you with the latest update of data for example Facebook when you open up Facebook’s you may see the data is wholly refreshed and ready for you to to go however this services can use up a bit of battery so if you want to have your battery lasts a lot longer you may want to choose to control to turn off some of the apps from using these services and that’s it so that’s how you can control permissions on your iPhone or iPad
